Chemical peels

A chemical peel is a form of exfoliation that uses a chemical solution to remove dead skin cells from the top layer of skin. The peeling process can last anywhere from three to five days after. During the peeling process, the dead skin cells shed or flake off, eventually revealing fresh, new skin underneath.

When to use Peels?

Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, discoloured skin and scars — usually on the face. They can be done alone or combined with other cosmetic procedures. And they can be done at different depths, from light to deep. Deeper chemical peels offer more-dramatic results but also take longer to recover from.

Results:

Improving the skin’s color, clarity, tone and texture
Stimulating collagen and healthy skin cell growth
Reducing discoloration caused by sun
Helping to clear up breakouts
Smoothing the fine lines and wrinkles
Increasing hydration of the skin
Reducing skin imperfections and superficial scars

Different types of chemical peels

A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure. Depending on the issues you’re addressing with the procedure, you’ll choose a chemical peel in one of three depths:

  • Light chemical peel. A light (superficial) chemical peel removes the outer layer of skin (epidermis). It’s used to treat fine wrinkles, acne, uneven skin tone and dryness. You might have a light peel every two to five weeks.
  • Medium chemical peel. A medium chemical peel removes skin cells from the epidermis and from portions of the upper part of your middle layer of skin (dermis). It’s used to treat wrinkles, acne scars and uneven skin tone. You might need to repeat the procedure to achieve or maintain the desired result.
  • Deep chemical peel. A deep chemical peel removes skin cells even deeper. Your doctor might recommend one for deeper wrinkles, scars or precancerous growths. You won’t need repeat procedures to get the full effect.

What are the risks of chemical peels?

Chemical peels are a treatment for those looking to refine the look of wrinkles and improve the overall texture of their skin. They can also improve the look of age spots and remove cancerous growths. However, they may not be the right option for everyone. Before having the treatment, you should speak with your dermatologist so you know which is the best and if the treatment as a whole is right for you.

As with any medical procedure, you need to be aware of any risks involved. The procedure is better suited for those with lighter skin tones. If you have a darker complexion you may not have the desired results, depending on what you want to have fixed.

Some patients might see permanent discoloration from the procedure, for example, if you are on birth control there’s a chance the treatment will result in a brownish discoloration. There is also a chance that you could experience scarring after the procedure. And if your wrinkles are severe enough, the chemical peel may not be enough to smooth their appearance.

What is BTL EMSELLA chair helpful for?

The BTL EMSELLA chair is a revolutionary non-invasive and comfortable physiotherapy treatment for:

Men or women suffering from urinary incontinence.

Women and men with decreased sexual satisfaction.
Endorsed by highly regarded gynaecologists worldwide the results of the BTL EMSELLA treatment are truly impressive in improving quality of life. The BTL EMSELLA treatment uses High Intensity Focused ElectroMagnetic Energy (HIFEM) to stimulate and strengthen all the pelvic floor muscles, not just the subset that can be exercised with voluntary contractions (Kegel exercises). What is Vampire Facelift®?

Vampire Facelift® also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, is a non-invasive and safe rejuvenation treatment because it is autologous — meaning it uses blood plasma from your own body to rejuvenate the skin. This is why it is sometimes called a “vampire facelift” but it is not a surgical facelift in the true sense of the word.

The platelets in PRP are nutrient-rich cells that stimulate the regeneration of the underlying structural integrity of your skin. These growth factors work to stimulate the release of the skin’s own cells encouraging the skin to create new blood vessels, stimulate new collagen growth, and grow new skin cells.

What does the Carboxytherapy do?

Carboxytherapy is a treatment that involves injecting a small amount of carbon dioxide gas underneath the skin. It can be used to treat stretch marks, dark circles under the eyes, cellulite, and excess fat in specific areas of the body. Carboxytherapy is a relatively safe procedure with minimal side effects.

Treatments are typically scheduled every other day, although sometimes two or even one session per week will be enough. Your scheduled treatments will depend on the extent of your cellulite. Each session lasts 10 – 25 minutes depending on the size and number of areas treated.
